Daenerys at the Game of Thrones wiki

Personality:

( note: season seven spoilers present at points )

The Targaryens are said to be born to either greatness or madness with little in between, so frequently that a popular saying was born, "Every time a new Targaryen is born, the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land". Daenerys Stormborn is proof that not all her family are mad -- at least for the time being.

Depending on who you ask she is either the one who will save the Seven Kingdoms, or the Mad King reborn again, and on paper the facts don't seem to support one argument over the other, either. Daenerys is capable of great ruthlessness in her actions, and has demonstrated it on a number of occasions - most notably in her cut throat treatment of the slave masters when conquering the city of Meereen. Without waiting to assess the situation for a more moderate response, and without considering for the ramifications (both morally and politically) Daenerys executed 163 masters to represent the number of children that had been crucified by them to warn her off of attempting to take the city. She frequently deals in absolutes - the absolute immorality of the slave masters (despite a number of them not supporting the crucification), the absolute need to abolish slavery in Slaver's bay before she can set her sights on Westeros, her absolute right to that throne. There is little room for middle ground with Daenerys, and although this is unsurprising given her life experiences to this point, it often becomes a source of conflict between her and others in negotiations.

The chaotic nature of her birth and upbringing have always been central points to her outlook on life. Although they were promised to one day sit on the Iron Throne again, Daenerys and her last surviving relative lol grew up in relative poverty and were whisked from place to place, living in constant fear of killers sent by the "Usurper" who had taken their birthrite. She watched this life eat away at her brother, watched his grip on sanity fray as he had to sell the last of their family heirlooms, and at times literally beg for food and shelter. His actions kept her alive, but where it caused him to go mad (or at the very least helped) Daenerys has always remained relatively level headed. This is where her great empathy and compassion for the oppressed originated - as they pleaded for survival, ran from unseen threats and she watched her brother twist into a crueller and more dominating force than he had ever been before, a strong sense of justice and morality hardened in her. For her at least, she sees it as a solid line between good and evil, and if you don't comfortably fall into one category then you absolutely belong in the other.

This determined sense of justice doesn't always translate into these acts of ruthlessness, however. There is an idealism about Daenerys that has yet to be stamped out despite the increasing hardships in her life. Immediately after the loss of her husband and unborn son Daenerys is already vowing to protect the people who chose to remain at her side, and rather than immediately attempt to take her place on the Iron Throne she severely delays this by trying to 'fix' Slaver's Bay. Unfortunately the intention does not always translate to the outcome, and it is questionable as to whether the chaos she creates with her actions are really any better than the states she found these cities in. She has to take action though, Daenerys is likely incapable of witnessing something she believes to be wrong without attempting to rectify things. Although this might be morally 'righteous' in a sense, rarely does this determined sense of righteousness lead her anywhere other than in trouble.

The concerns of her council primarily surround her tendency towards a more headstrong, at times almost stubborn, approach to their advice. Although there is little time to negotiate during the events, there is (possibly understandably) a lot of concern expressed after she executes the two remaining men of a noble house. This execution comes at the end of a battle, after an offer of mercy with the condition of submission, and in the face of open rebellion on the part of the father, however contextual or not she still ordered her dragons to burn two men alive. In short, it didn't do wonders for her reputation. There are a number of occasions where Daenerys receives (or sometimes even requests) advice only to ignore it in favour of her own path, and she often teeters around the line between determination and stubbornness. Although intelligent and quickly learning more about the world every day, Daenerys is still quite young, inexperienced, and at times she can overlook this still-present naivety. This may be part of why she is outsmarted by the Lannister armies during her initial attacks in Westeros. She may be Queen of Meereen, rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, plus seven other titles, but it is hard to go up against one of the most skilled soldiers and experienced leaders in Westeros and come out unscathed. She makes several tactical errors as a result of both her own lack of experience and some questionable council, but it can only be hoped that it is a lesson learned.

Although most of her life is caught up in the swings and roundabouts of moving from headstrong to righteous, ruthless to compassionate and back again, there are brief moments where the Daenerys the person (as opposed to Queen) can be seen. She is steadfast in her loyalty, rarely exhibiting even the entertainment of a betrayal once she has determined a person to be trustworthy. She can even be funny and lighthearted, seen most frequently in conversations with her handmaid and advisor Missandei. Although their relationship initially begins as relatively professional (as professional as a relationship between a freed slave and the woman who freed her) they quickly become friendly. Though usually short due to the pressing nature of most of their actions, there are several moments seen between these two that show Daenerys engage in gentle teasing, brief jokes, even gossiping at times. However fleeting, it is a telling insight into what Daenerys might look like without the stresses of the events happening both in Westeros and in the East.

Ultimately Daenerys is powerful. It is the common thread that has defined every facet of her life since the early days as nothing but a bought wife. It is only once someone is able to halt her brother mid-threat that the tides begin to turn and the power balance begin to shift. From that moment it only begins to grow, ultimately ending with Viserys' death and an apparent lack of grief from Daenerys. Similarly it is the loss of her husband and child that sees her enacting the vengeance that ultimately gives her three dragons. With them she is a formidable force, but even without Daenerys is perfectly capable of asserting herself over even the most hyper-masculine horse lords. All she had to do was burn all their leaders to death. Although she is rarely a physical threat, the combination of her strategic and political mind along with that ever present power is usually more than enough that she is able to hold her own. Daenerys might not wield a sword, but she is still more than capable of protecting herself.

Powers/Abilities:

A poorly-defined tolerance/immunity to flames, heat and high temperatures. It's never really laid out too specifically in the show (and straight up doesn't exist in the books) but given that it has occurred on a number of occasions on the screen it can be assumed this is an ongoing thing, rather than purely the result of the magic vibes that were happening in the dragon hatching funeral pyre. This is established as being specific to Daenerys, as although Targaryen's are naturally able to withstand higher temperatures than your everyday man, a number of them have died by fire and her own brother was burned to death with molten gold.

Power Nerfs (if applicable):

Not especially relevant for right now so this is a question rather than an actual laid out nerf, but would a dragon be a potential points purchase? Presumably they'd be nerfed in either size, fire or both if allowed into the game which is totally fine by me, but I was curious about whether or not having an Actual Dragon by her side would be pushing it a little too much.

Inventory:

Unfortunately the downside of being a queen is that you don't tend to carry a backpack. Daenerys will be arriving with naught but this outfit, including the funky hair clip fashioned in the shape of a dragon.

Incentives:

The survival and safety of her allies would be absolutely her priority, though if she was given a chance to request more she would also ask for help in finding a weapon capable of killing the White Walkers.
